All players registering for CHE Academy need to be fully certified to participate in U18 competition sanctioned through Hockey Canada. The application process will involve three separate steps, where we require all information necessary for: on-ice participation, academic participation, and billeting program (if required).

At CHE ACADEMY, our student-athletes follow a structured daily schedule designed to balance academic excellence, athletic development, and competitive hockey.
A typical Monday to Friday schedule includes:
7:00–8:00 a.m. – Dryland training at Hybrid
8:35 a.m.–1:05 p.m. – Academic classes at Holy Cross
2:00–3:30 p.m. – On-ice hockey practice
Weekend schedules are dedicated primarily to competitive games and team activities.
CHE ACADEMY operates on a 10-month program aligned with the academic school year. The program includes a 2.5-week Christmas break, with competitive games continuing into April.
Following the conclusion of the regular game schedule, on-ice and off-ice training continues through June, providing student-athletes with continued opportunities to develop their skills, strength, conditioning, and overall hockey performance.
Our comprehensive schedule is designed to provide student-athletes with the structure and support necessary to pursue their academic goals while maximizing their development and success on the ice.

All CHE Academy students will register through the Holy Cross C.S.S. registration page and will need to provide necessary information to attend a PVNCCDSB school. Students will have a meeting at the start of the season to determine academic goals and establish individual expectations that align with prior level of academic achievements. To fully participate in Academy games, students must maintain their individual academic goals.

A CHE-appointed Academic Advisor will work directly with students and act as a liaison between students, parents and guardians, and Holy Cross C.S.S. The Academic Advisor will support students to fully achieve individual academic goals.

For the inaugural season, CHE Academy will participate CSSHL East U18 prep, fully sanctioned to complete against other U18 Academies, and AAA level teams. The flexibility will allow the team to find the best level of competition both in Canada and United States.

CHE ACADEMY welcomes players who are eligible to compete at the U18 level. Our admissions and player evaluation process considers the student-athlete as a whole, with an emphasis on three key areas:

CHE ACADEMY is committed to selecting student-athletes who demonstrate the ability, commitment, and character to succeed in a demanding academic and hockey environment.

CHE Academy will follow a typical academic calendar, with programming beginning in September, and concluding in June. All games will take place during the Hockey Canada calendar from September to March, with regular practices and training to still take place in the spring months once the season concludes.

CHE Academy students can expect 5.5 hours of weekly on-ice training. Training periods will take place from Monday - Thursday, with Friday and weekend dates reserved for games.

CHE Academy students will be held to a clear code of conduct that outlines all expectations for participation in the Academy. All billet families will be thoroughly screened prior to placement, and parents will be provided regular updates as needed.

Yes, we welcome international students and can provide assistance with student visa applications if necessary.
