MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

CHE student athletes will be able to lean on the expertise and guidance of mentors who have had a high level of success in the hockey world as both the junior and professional. The mentors will meet with the player least once a month to track their overall progress, answer any questions, and provide invaluable lessons that will translate to success on the ice. Players will be matched with a mentor who best suits their individual goals and personality.

MEET JIM BEDARD

Jim Bédard is a long time NHL goaltending coach. Jim played professionally from 1976-1994, most notably in the NHL for the Washington Capitals. Post playing, Jim transitioned to become a Goaltending Coach with the Dallas Stars and Detroit Red Wings, where he contributed to three Stanley Cup championships. Over the course of his coaching career, Jim has worked with and developed some of the game’s elite goaltenders, including Dominik Hašek, Chris Osgood, Jimmy Howard, and Jake Oettinger.

Bringing decades of elite-level experience, proven success, and deep technical knowledge, Jim adds exceptional value to our academy. His leadership, mentorship, and commitment to goaltender development will significantly elevate the education, growth, and long-term development of goalies at every stage of their journey.
