OFF-ICE
CHE Academy is proud to partner with HYBRID - Fitness.Health.Performance in Peterborough, Ontario, to provide our student-athletes with industry-leading off-ice training. As the premier athlete performance facility in Peterborough, HYBRID is the official training centre for the OHL Peterborough Petes, along with numerous minor hockey teams and athletes from a wide range of sporting organizations in the area.
At HYBRID, athletes train under the guidance of an exceptional team of Strength and Conditioning Coaches with experience at elite levels of sport and academic excellence. Many of the coaches continue to compete themselves bringing firsthand knowledge of the commitment, discipline, and preparation required to perform at the highest level. The HYBRID mission extends beyond improving athletic performance, they are equally committed to long-term athletic development, injury prevention, and helping athletes enjoy healthy, successful careers.
CHE Academy athletes will benefit from the same professional training environment and structured programming trusted by the Peterborough Petes. A carefully designed, segmented training schedule will focus on building strength, power, mobility, and athleticism that directly translates to on-ice performance.
Throughout the season, athletes will also undergo regular assessments using VALD Performance testing technology. This cutting-edge system measures movement quality, strength, power, and asymmetrics, allowing coaches to identify strengths and areas for improvement while monitoring fatigue, athlete readiness, rehabilitation progress, and overall performance development.
