Founder and President of Canadian Hockey Enterprises, Paul Crowley has left a lasting legacy following a successful playing career. Selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1975 NHL Entry Draft, Paul played professionally for a decade, including 7 seasons in the AHL, setting the record for most consecutive games played, while serving as captain of both the Binghamton Whalers and Rochester Americans. Post playing, Paul scouted for both the New York Rangers and notably the Detroit Red Wings, helping Detroit capture Stanley Cups in 1997 and 1998. Paul served as Assistant Coach of the Barrie Colts, who won the J. Ross Robertson Cup in 2000.

As a Peterborough native, Chris Moher began his junior playing career with the Peterborough Bees, before transitioning to the QMJHL’s Hull Olympiques, where he played for 3 seasons, completing his junior career with the Lindsay Muskies. Chris transitioned to a career in teaching, and continues to coach minor hockey, where he has helped lead multiple Peterborough Ice Kats teams to rank amongst the top in Ontario. Chris has been heavily involved and an invaluable piece for the success of Canadian Hockey Enterprises camps, serving as a Head Instructor for decades.

Brian Hayton joins CHE Academy, sharing his wealth of on-ice and academic knowledge. Brian played over 200 games in the OHL, contributing to 2 J. Ross Robertson Championship teams, and winning the Memorial Cup with the 1986 Guelph Platers. Brian was selected in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings, and enjoyed a successful career with the University of Guelph Gryphons. Post playing, Brian transitioned to teaching, as well as coaching at the Canadian University level, OHL, and playing an instrumental role in his son Barrett’s success, seeing him selected 5th overall in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

Jamey Hicks has played a major role in the development of countless Peterborough athletes, through his involvement with Canadian Hockey Enterprises for over 30 years. Jamey started his playing career in the OHL, where he totaled over 200 career points across 5 seasons, topped by leading the Peterborough Petes to the 1989 J. Ross Robertson Cup. Jamey had a 12 year professional career, accumulating over 800 career points, and was selected into the ECHL Hall of Fame in 2024. Jamey has coached and advised teams at both the Junior and profesional level, and currently scouts for the Saginaw Spirit of the OHL.

Mike Martone played a key role in Peterborough Hockey history, skating in over 200 games as a Peterborough Pete, and scoring the Game 7 Overtime winning goal to clinch the 1996 J. Ross Robertson Cup. Mike was named 1997 OHL Humanitarian of the Year Award, and served as Petes captain during his final OHL season. Selected in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft by the Buffalo Sabres, Mike played for 7 seasons following the OHL, before transitioning to teaching. Mike helped countless young athletes reach their potential, including his children Audrey, and Porter, the latter of whom was selected 6th overall in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.

Steve Webb is a former NHL forward from Peterborough, Ontario, who built a reputation throughout his career as a physical, hardworking competitor and respected teammate. Drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft, Webb went on to play over 300 NHL games with the New York Islanders and Pittsburgh Penguins.
As a mentor with CHE Academy, Steve will bring his knowledge, leadership, and passion for the game to help guide student-athletes both on and off the ice. His ability to share lessons from his professional journey will make him an important role model for athletes striving to reach their full potential.

Born and raised in Peterborough, Chad Cavanagh has had a long career in hockey, as a player, coach and instructor. Originally selected by the London Knights of the 1995, Chad had a successful OHL career amassing over 200 total points, and leading the 1999 Soo Greyhounds in scoring. Chad went to University with the Acadia Axemen, leading the team in goals in each of his 4 seasons. Selected by the Washington Capitals in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft, Chad played over 200 games professionally with over 150 points, before returning home, where he has worked with Canadian Hockey Enterprises for over 20 years.
