CHE Academy is partnering with HYBRID - Fitness, Health and Performance in Peterborough, ON. HYBRID is the premier athlete training location in Peterborough, serving as the official training facility of both the Peterborough Petes of the OHL, and Strength and Conditioning Group for many minor AAA/AA/A Hockey teams and various other minor organizations in the area.

The HybridFHP team comprises of five Strength and Conditioning coaches, four Chiropractors, two Physiotherapists, one Massage Therapist and one Athletic Therapist. The facility has 5000 sq.ft of training space, a full clinic for rehabilitation needs, as well as a 1000 sq.ft yoga and mobility studio.

The HYBRIDFHP team is highly dedicated and experienced with assisting high performing athletes reach their maximum potential, through guided training, and thorough teaching.

MEET JOSH GILLAM

Josh Gillam is the owner of Hybrid Sports, which serves as the head training facility of the OHL's Peterborough Petes. Josh has been a member of the Petes coaching staff for the previous 8 seasons, and currently serves as the Director of Sports Performance, the same title he will hold with CHE Academy.

Josh’s attended Dartmouth College, an Ivy League Division 1 institution in NH, USA On a full scholarship as a dual sport athlete in both hockey and lacrosse. As a trainer Josh brings a wealth of knowledge surrounding health and fitness that he has acquired through his work with top professional trainers, coaches and fitness instructors from multiple sporting organizations within North America and Europe.

The Hybrid Sports team will provide the exact same training received by the OHL Peterborough Petes, with segmented schedules that will help players build strength that will directly lead to on-ice success. Players will also receive full reports of their body through science based testing, that allows the Hybrid coaches to fully address any areas of weakness and can identify things to correct to prevent injuries.
